Department EHSS Europe is part of SABIC EHSS Corporate Control. SABIC strives for continuous improvement on EHSS performances in the region, both in their 13 manufacturing facilities as well as in the various offices. The key KPI for EHSS performance is SHER: the number of all incidents as a function of severity per 200,000 man-hours worked. The dataset for the European region consists of major incidents, minor incidents and near misses. A significant portion of these incidents are behavior based driven. The Challenge Incidents are being investigated with the aim to learn and to prevent they will re-occur. The level of investigation is depending on the severity of the incident. Currently there is no uniform methodology how we can learn in the most effective way of incidents.
